Age of the Moon Story

THE BEGINNING

The project began in 2020 as a part of the Space Generation Advisory Council, an organization for young space professionals. The focus was on exploring the architectural and logistical aspects of a Lunar ecosystem.

A group of people wearing face masks are gathered around a table playing a board game at an indoor event. Some are seated, and others are standing, with a large screen and wooden walls in the background.

As the "Moon race" gained momentum, we turned our attention to potential collaboration and conflict scenarios arising from efforts to establish lunar bases by different actors. To better understand this topic, we decided to create a simulation game.

The game can be used in workshops for discussion and reflection. All game elements are based on expert research.

A prototype was debuted at the International Astronautical Congress in 2021, the biggest space industry conference. Since then, Age of the Moon Workshops have been held at multiple events and conferences as a networking and educational activity.
